AUSSIE: 3 MINUTE MIRACLE SHINE (DEEP TREATMENT)

AUSSIE: 3 MINUTE
MIRACLE SHINE

This is a sample sachet of this product, that I received through the post.

I've heard a lot of good things about Aussie products, in the past. Never actually tried any of them, until now.  I was excited about trying this, as it's something that my hair needs - a good deep treatment.

The first thing I always do when trying a new product, is see what it smells like. I don't know if I was unlucky here, with a dodgy sachet, or whether the whole Aussie range has the same scent - but it was horrible. I could smell the fruits, but there was a distinct odour of 'wet dog'. Now, if you have/had a dog, then you'll know what I mean when I say that. It's basically the same musty/damp smell that you get off your dog, when it has just come inside out of the rain.

As I say, I'm not sure whether it was just this sachet or the whole range - as it's the first Aussie product that I've actually tried. It could quite possibly be the smell of the Ginseng, I have no idea. Anyway, after getting over how it smelt, I went on to give it a try. I thought the smell would possibly disappear, by the end result. It didn't, really. However, it wasn't as bad as when I first applied the product to the hair.

The instructions advise to smooth the product on damp hair, wait for 3 minutes and then rinse it out. I have to say, despite the smell, this product is actually really good. I smoothed it on to the lengths of my hair, avoiding the roots - as is advised with many products that offer shine to the hair, as it tends to make the roots look greasy.

After I had dried my hair with my hair dryer, I could instantly feel that my hair was softer and could notice shine to it. Usually, I have to straighten it before I feel any softness. There was a bit more shine, after I had straightened my hair and the softness remained. My hair actually felt like it had had a good treatment, so maybe it is a 'miracle' product?

I could still smell the 'wet dog' odour after I had finished my hair, which was slightly disappointing. It did seem to fade, but it would be better if it actually wasn't there at all. I would love to buy the full size of this, as it does the job that it says. It's just the bad smell, that's putting me off wanting to buy it.

DIESEL: LOVERDOSE

DIESEL: LOVERDOSE

What The Perfume Shop say about this fragrance;

''Loverdose is the sexy & addictive fragrance from Diesel. It represents a woman who is sexy, playful and irresistible. She receives an overdose of love from those around her, but she wants more. She desires pleasure, adrenaline & passion.''

*Heart Notes
Liquorice, Vanilla

*Top Notes
Mandarin, Star Anise

*Base Notes
Dry Woods

*Scent
Floral

This is a 7ml sample size, of the fragrance that I received a while ago. I love this perfume. It's now on my list of favourites, after falling in love with it from the moment I smelt it. I probably like it so much, because of how sweet it is. It's a very sweet-smelling fragrance, and these are the types that I tend to choose to wear the most.

The Perfume Shop mention that there's a top note of mandarin, in this. I have to say, I can't smell any kind of mandarin in this. A mandarin to me, is citrus - this is far from that. The heart notes that they mention, I can smell very strongly. Liquorice and vanilla go so well, together. I love the combination of those scents. I'm also getting a scent of dark chocolate coming through, as well. It stays on the skin quite a long time, after you've applied it. It's strong, but subtle at the same time and not overpowering. This fragrance very much reminds me of Avril Lavigne's Black Star, it smells so similar.

The bottle of this perfume, is really nice. It's got a 'rock chick' vibe to it. It's like a big crystal. The 7ml size I received (see above photo) is a smaller size of the actual bottle that the full size comes in. I'm a sucker for a nicely designed perfume bottle, not just what the fragrance smells like. This bottle would look great on a dressing table, or on display anywhere.

It's quite an expensive perfume, but that's expected given the brand name. It would be one of those 'luxury' purchases, that you'd buy every few years and use sparingly. Or, one of those perfumes that you'd put on your Christmas/Birthday list, in the hope that someone loves you enough to buy it for you. Hehe!

I would definitely recommend this, it's one to have on the dressing table among your collection.
Especially if you like perfumes that are sweet and can be worn for either day, or night.

SURE: COMPRESSED DEODORANTS

SURE: COMPRESSED
DEODORANTS

First of all, I should mention that I'm a BzzAgent. I've been given these products for free, to test, in return for my honest feedback.

These are two new deodorants, from Sure. They will be available to buy in most stores, from 4th February 2013.

Each can, is 75ml and Sure's motto for these, is that they ''last as long, with less packaging''

One of these cans, is supposed to be equal to one of their 150ml cans. Sure say that they have managed to change the deodorant's nozzle so that it sprays out less gas than before, but delivers more antiperspirant ingredient.

Sure's facts, about these new deodorants;

*Use it just like your normal Sure 150ml and it will last just as long

*Increased antiperspirant ingredient for Sure's best ever protection in an aerosol

*Contains Sure's MotionSense technology, leaving you constantly protected for 48 hours

*Smaller, more convenient packaging so it's better for the environment

Now you know all of the facts, I shall give you my review on these...

I already use a Sure product, that I swear by and would not be without - so I'm pretty familiar with the brand and what they have to offer.

At first glance, I can say that I love the packaging. I love how compressed they are, which is what the brand are marketing these as. It's a great idea, because most women like to carry around a body spray in their bag - and this is perfectly ideal, due to its cute size. This would fit in almost any bag, meaning you could take it wherever you wanted.

The first one in the picture above, is 'cotton, ultra dry.' I love the smell, of this. It smells so fresh, like freshly-washed laundry.  It's almost like a soft, delicate baby scent. It claims to be 48 hour instant dry microspray. I can't say I noticed anything different to the regular Sure sprays, when I had sprayed it on. It didn't leave any powdery white marks, which is always good. It smelt great, as mentioned above and seemed to stay in place for a good few hours. I can't comment on whether it lasts the whole 48 hours, as I had taken a shower before that time had elapsed.

The second one in the picture above, is 'clear aqua, crystal.' Again, it claims to last 48 hours, but I had showered before that time has passed. This one actually says on the can, about the white mark protection. It does just that, it doesn't leave any white marks.  The scent is similar to the first spray, I can't tell much difference between the two. It's equally as fresh and delicate, as the first spray. In fact, I can't see much difference between the two sprays - apart from their titles on the front of the cans.

If I went to buy these, I guess I could just pick up either can and they would both do the same job. The main message with these, is the new size of can. That is Sure's selling point, and I think they could really take off because of the adjustment of the can.  Nobody wants to carry a bulky can around with them, when they might want to freshen up - so this would really be ideal, from that perspective. They're also quite discreet, so it wouldn't matter if you wanted to take these out - no one would really notice.

I would definitely purchase these, just for the fact that they're a nice convenient size and can be taken almost anywhere. These would appeal more to me, than a bigger can.

SOAP & GLORY: FOAM CALL BODY WASH

SOAP & GLORY: FOAM CALL
BODY WASH

Soap & Glory products seem to be really popular. I had wanted to try some for a while, but their huge price tag had put me off buying any. I received a voucher, so I decided to get the foam call body wash. I love shower gel and body wash, so have tried so many different ones in the past - this meant that I had high hopes for this product. Partly due to the fact that Soap & Glory products always seem to get good reviews, as well.

This is a huge bottle, it comes in at 500ml. It would last quite a long time, so I guess that justifies its price tag. It's £6.50 at the time of writing, in Boots (UK)

One thing that people always mention in their reviews of Soap & Glory products, is the scent. Everyone seems to really like the smell, of the various products. The first thing I did, was smell this - to see what all the fuss was about. I still don't know what the hype is about, as the smell was pretty average. It didn't really smell like much, and it wasn't an overly feminine scent. I like a body wash to have a strong smell, so it tends to stay on your skin when you get out of the shower. The scent of this, faded quite quickly. I've used cheaper brands, where the scent has remained on the skin for hours after showering.

I like the idea of the pump on the bottle, as there doesn't seem to be any waste and you don't spill any by accidentally knocking the bottle over etc...
It also allows you to pump out exactly the right amount of body wash that you need, which is always ideal. The product lathers up quite well, but not as much as I would personally like (I guess that's just a matter of preference)

I like the design and size of the bottle, it's contemporary and looks pretty on display in the bathroom. The smell is average. It washes the body quite well. The price is a 'luxury' price, rather than an everyday price. I probably wouldn't buy this product again.
